How does your label cloud look?

Well, if you have a blog then you must surely have been labelling your post.Most of you must have even put up the labels in your sidebar widget.
So how does your sidebar labels look like? Does it still look like the primitive one below?

Or perhaps you have upgraded to the more appealing and nice looking label cloud like this one:

However, there is a new sidebar widget for labels which is really cool.If you still don't have it for your blog, then you must go right ahead.To see how this widget looks like, you can visit my home blog.This widget uses a combination of JavaScript and Flash animation to parse and display your blog labels.

To install this widget, do the following:
Step 1:
Go to Layout>Edit HTML in your Blogger dashboard, and search for the following line (or similar):

<b:section class='sidebar' id='sidebar' preferred='yes'>
Immediatly after this line, paste the following section of code:

<b:widget id='Label99' locked='false' title='Labels' type='Label'>

<b:includable id='main'>

<b:if cond='data:title'>

<h2><data:title/></h2>

</b:if>

<div class='widget-content'>

<script src='http://halotemplates.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-cumulus-example/swfobject.js' type='text/javascript'/>

<div id='flashcontent'>Blogumulus by <a
href='http://www.roytanck.com/'>Roy Tanck</a> and <a
href='http://www.bloggerbuster.com'>Amanda
Fazani</a></div>

<script type='text/javascript'>

var so = new
SWFObject("http://halotemplates.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-cumulus-example/tagcloud.swf",
"tagcloud", "240",
"300", "7",
"#ffffff");

// uncomment next line to enable transparency

//so.addParam("wmode", "transparent");

so.addVariable("tcolor", "0x333333");

so.addVariable("mode", "tags");

so.addVariable("distr", "true");

so.addVariable("tspeed", "100");

so.addVariable("tagcloud",
"<tags><b:loop values='data:labels'
var='label'><a expr:href='data:label.url'
style='12'><data:label.name/></a></b:loop></tags>");

so.addParam("allowScriptAccess", "always");

so.write("flashcontent");

</script>

<b:include name='quickedit'/>

</div>

</b:includable>

</b:widget>

Then preview your template. If installed correctly, you should see the tag cloud appear in your sidebar.

If you want to change the size and colour of the label cloud , just play around with the highlighted numbers in the code and you will do fine.

P.S:Many thanks to
Roy Tanck' who designed this widget as a plugin for wordpress,and Amanda for converting it into a blogger widget.

Just Added Top Droppers

Well there are some cool google gadgets that you must try for your blog.
If you are an Entrecard Fan then you must get the top droppers or recent droppers widget in your blog. Just a sign of appreciation for all those who religiously drop on your blog and as default are your regular visitors.

I really liked the top droppers widget and if you want to try it too then Mike from michiganrafter has written a very good tutorial for this.
Though I feel an icing on the cake would have been if it displayed the no. of drops also.But for now , it's cool!
